...so it's day two and i never want to leave!

Today was the day of first impressions....I know, I know, I started yesterday.

After sorting out the post (which was heavily reduced from yesterday's mound!) I visited NME Radio. It wasn't quite as exciting as I expected...and we didn't actually get to go into the studios but i'm going to work on that (mwahahaha).

On the way back up to the office, who should I bump into but my boss, the editor of NME.com, David Moynihan. In the confined space of the lift I thought 'this is my chance' so I casually (on the outside...nervously on the inside!) offered him a (rather manly) handshake and said "You're David, aren't you?"

Thankfully, David is possibly THE most amazing guy in power i've ever met and he even knew who I was. Well, not by name but he certainly knows it now!

Whilst weaving in and out of the journos wandering about, he explained to me that I would be focussing on the festival part of the website for the first two weeks. So I should be one of the first to find out all the juicy goss. He also said to come to him with ideas and input for the website...better work on that.

After he dashed away in his battered converse (the king of cool that he is) I got down to the festival list again...and no, I STILL haven't finished it.

And that was basically my day.

Radio 6 was on most of the afternoon and I have a vague recollection of hearing Two Door Cinema Club (YES!) and The Decemberists (NOOOO!)

Check out today's issue of NME - it's in my favourite colour, supergreen, featuring The Prodigy, The Horrors (LOL at the bit about Pret A Manger), and 3oh!3 - they will make you dance. Oh, and some gay posters of MGMT, The Last Shadow Puppets, and the dirrrrty Pete Doherty.

The Rifles and New Education at The Roundhouse tomorrow night...could get messy.

Over and out
